Class of 2017 Celebrates Commencement at Severance Hall

Saturday, June 4 marked the 2017 Commencement ceremony for Hawken’s graduating seniors.

Students, families and faculty gathered at Severance Hall, which provided a majestic setting for the momentous event. Two students, Ammar Azeem Lone and Angelina Marie Todaro, were chosen by the senior class to address their classmates during the ceremony, and Sarah Elizabeth Allaben gave the valedictory address. Randy Dlugosz of the science department was chosen to present the faculty address to the graduates.

The 103 graduates will be heading to 62 different colleges and universities in 25 states, among them Amherst, Harvard, Duke, Vassar, University of Virginia, Bucknell, University of Chicago, and Colorado College. 75% of the Class has been offered over $5 million in academic and athletic scholarships.
