Intensives and Senior Projects Highlight End of US Academic Year

A relative hush has fallen on the Gates Mills campus during the last few weeks as students have scattered near and far, intently focused on their Intensive class or, in the case of seniors, Senior Projects.

Students are traveling as far as Nicaragua for the Spanish immersion Intensive; some are visiting Chicago for a first-hand experience studying the history and culture of the city; others are exploring the outdoors while studying literature and field biology; and still others are traveling to Cleveland to participate in the Cleveland Mosaic Project. Some classes, including the Humanities 9 and 10 Intensives and the Comedy and Social Satire class, are campus-based but typically involve local excursions.

To learn more about Intensives, check out the student travel blogs focusing on Nicaragua and Chicago; preview the SNL-style production from the Comedy and Social Satire class, and visit Annie Morris' blog, where she has documented many of the exciting things happening in Intensive classes for her senior project.
