Senior Receives High Rankings in National STEMM Competition
Congratulations to Dhweeja Dasarathy ’17, who was named both a semifinalist (top 498 in the nation) and a regional finalist (top 60 projects in the nation) in the 2016 Siemens Competition in Math, Science and Technology.
The congratulatory email from David D. Etzwiler, Siemens Foundation CEO, read in part, “An astounding 3,845 students registered for this year’s competition and submitted a total of 1,664 projects for consideration. Your research project and Semifinalist ranking clearly demonstrate that you are an exceptional student – creative, competitive and brilliant – one of the future leaders of American science and engineering.”
Upon learning of her rankings, Dasarathy extended thanks to teacher Bob Shurtz for his “inspiration and mentorship in science research and physics.”
