New Lower School Director Announced

Courtney comes to us from The Bishop John T. Walker School for Boys, where she currently serves as the Director of Upper Primary School. Prior to her current role, she was a teacher in several nationally known schools, including The Lovett School in Atlanta, Georgia. Courtney holds two master’s degrees, one from the University of Georgia in social work and one in elementary education from the well-known Lesley College/Shady Hill School teacher training program in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

 

Courtney will be working in collaboration with Mary Beth Hilborn, our Assistant Director of the Lower School and Director of Early Childhood, and with the support of Garet Libbey, our Assistant Head of School for the Lyndhurst Campus and the current Interim Lower School Director. With their experience, skill sets, and passion for education and for students, this team of talented and dedicated educators will build upon our Lower School’s strong foundation and continue to fulfill our mission as a forward-focused institution.
