Cum Laude Society Inducts New Members

Family, friends and faculty gathered June 3 to induct 9 new members into the Cum Laude Society.

Math teacher Anne Thompson addressed those in attendance and Robert Gray '15 performed Mozart's "Adagio" from the Clarinet Concerto in A Major, K.622 with accompianist Gary Darrow on piano.

The Cum Laude Society recognizes academic achievement in secondary schools for the purpose of promoting excellence (Areté), justice (Diké) and honor (Timé). Each Chapter may elect 20% of the graduating class and 10% of the junior class who have demonstrated academic excellence in the college preparatory curriculum.

It is the hope of the Society that students will accept the honor of their membership as a responsibility to make some contribution to the on-going search for greater understanding of the world in which we live.
