Stadium Tour Provides Memories for Students

A new summer Passport class wraps up this week after touring baseball stadiums in Philadelphia, Washington, Baltimore, Pittsburgh and Cleveland.

The week-long summer course, for ages 10-14, was led by Hawken’s Associate Director of Athletics, Seth Lieberman, who has more than 20 years’ experience directing both overnight summer and travel camps across the USA and Europe.

“This camp offers campers the chance to catch Major League games in five different stadiums, and includes campers documenting their journey in a variety of ways, “ said Mark Nestor, Hawken’s Director of Auxiliary Programs. “It's an opportunity for young baseball fans to create a lifelong memory as they hit the road, and travel to stadiums in the Mid-Atlantic area.”

Other offerings in this week's Passport Program held at Hawken's PS-8 campus in Lyndhurst and Gries Center in University Circle, included classes in fashion, cooking, pottery, mosaics, Chinese, iPad filmmaking, cartooning, chess, and more.
