Student is Tribe Reporter for a Day
10th grader Dalya Oprian was selected as a winner of the 2014 Plain Dealer Tribe Reporter for a Day Essay Contest.
Dalya's essay earned her the opportunity to experience a behind-the-scenes look at a Cleveland Indians baseball game from the media’s perspective.
She covered the May 7 game when the Cleveland Indians hosted the Minnesota Twins. The essay contest was open to high school students interested in a career in sports writing, reporting, broadcasting or journalism.
