Graduates Create New from Old
Deej '91 and Brinton '94 Lincoln along with Chase Horsburgh '99 recently launched a new company called "Rustbelt Reclamation," extending the "Reclaimed Cleveland" mission beyond the region.
The company takes materials from old buildings and uses the pieces as raw materials for new furniture - everything from restaurant booths to coffee tables to reception desks.
Salvaging materials from abandoned homes, factories and churches not only keeps them out of landfills, but also supplies a variety and quality of wood that could never be found in a lumber yard, states a recent article in The Plain Dealer.
