Middle School Green Team 2nd in Ohio

The team was honored at The Ohio Energy Project’s annual Youth Energy Celebration held May 13th at The Ohio State University’s Fawcett Center. More than 300 students, teachers and partners participated in the event.

Hawken's Green Team began working in the fall on a series of energy activities and initiatives. In February, the team hosted an energy carnival for Hawken 5th graders. Then in April, the team held a workshop at Hawken's Gries Center where students from local school were led through energy transformation labs and carnival and bike activities.

OEP honors students who have spent the academic year educating their classmates, families and community about energy. The organization's mission is to empower students to be energy educated leaders. For more about OEP, click here.
