Hawken Announces Lyndhurst Campus Project

Due to the generous lead support of Daniel and Ellie Hurwitz and other contributing Hawken community members, Hawken School will be moving forward with the completion of its Lyndhurst campus renovation. In recognition of Dan and Ellie’s generosity and leadership, the Lower School building will be named Hurwitz Hall, taking a rightful position of honor alongside Lincoln and Bolton Halls.

Construction will begin this week on renovations that will provide a consistent classroom environment to facilitate Hawken's individualized and hands on curriculum. Renovations will also provide additional classroom space to meet increased enrollment demand while keeping class sizes small.

The project construction will continue throughout the summer with completion expected by the start of the 2013-2014 academic year, in August, 2013.

More information, including project updates, can be found at hawken.edu/LYproject.
