Hawken Announces Parent-Infant Series
For Parents or Caregivers and their Infants, Aged 3-6 Months
The Early Childhood Program at Hawken School is excited to announce its new 6 week Parent-Infant Series for parents or caregivers, and their infants, aged 3-6 months. Each week parents will have the opportunity to share stories, advice and support in guided and informative small group discussions led by early childhood experts. The series structure is informal, with room to tend infants’ needs, including feedings, and diaper changes.
Early Childhood teachers, trained in Terry Brazelton’s Touchpoints, will facilitate topic discussions that include: finding your parental strengths, discovering your child’s language, and learning the ways to help support child development during the significant first six months of life.
Registration in the series includes the 6 week class, guest speaker, a half hour introductory session with a Certified Parent Coach (in person or phone), and an invitation to all workshops in The Kitchen Table: The Hawken School Early Childhood Parenting Workshop & Book Club Series.
Registration is extremely limited to facilitate small group discussions and individualized parenting counsel.
Participating infants should be born after May 1, 2012. Participating adults are encouraged to bring their babies, relax and enjoy.

COST: $160, includes 6 week Parenting Series, introductory individual session with a Certified Parent Coach, and invitation to all The Kitchen Table workshops
