Like Mother, Like Daughter
Sometimes a sport just runs in a family. That seems to be the case with Mary Toomey Clyde, a 1979 graduate of Hawken, and her daughter Kennedy Clyde '12. According to Hawken records, Mary and Kennedy are the first parent-child combination to win an Old Board Award. Adding to the statistical first, they both won the award in the same sport – volleyball. Congratulations to the Clyde family!
