One World Day at Cultural Garden Features Students
Seventh grader Molly Webster was a featured singer at the 64th annual One World Day celebration sponsored by the Cleveland Cultural Garden Federation on Sunday, August 28th. Proceeding a welcome by Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson and a Naturalization Ceremony for new U.S. citizens, Molly sang a beautiful rendition of America The Beautiful to an enchanted crowd of onlookers and Cultural Garden supporters.
Classmates Connor Keuchel and Egypt Ali also participated as lead flag bearers in the traditional Parade of Flags, which worked its way along Martin Luther King Boulevard from the newly established Syrian Garden to the Ukrainian Garden. As sponsors of the American Garden, Hawken was proud to support this community event celebrating the diversity of cultures calling Cleveland home.
