Middle School Students Wield Pens at District Competition
The seventh and eighth grade Middle School Power of the Pen teams demonstrated their expert wordsmanship in the district competition held at Hathaway Brown this past weekend, with 11 writing pieces ranking first in their writing rooms; a 5th place ranking for eighth grader Maddie Hengst; a 1st place ranking for Alison Jin, who also earned the Clyde Pattersonmemorial Award for ranking 1st in all three rounds for her room; and a 1st place ranking for the entire eighth grade team.
