Three Seniors to Participate in Prestigious Competition

Potential academic candidates are initially identified based upon exceptional SAT or ACT scores, and arts candidates are initially selected based upon their artisitc ability and their participation in YoungArts, a national program whose purpose is to identify and recognize extrarodinarily talented students.

In April, all 500 semi-finalists' applications will be reviewed by the White House Commission on Presidential Scholars, after which they will select up to 121 Academic Scholars and up to 20 Arts Scholars.
