Class of 2010 Matriculation

lvl
The members of the class of 2010 are preparing to head off to college shortly, having made their commitments to their respective universities - and their statistical results have far exceeded the norms. Not only did a significant majority of our students gain acceptances at their first choice schools, but 35% of our seniors had a 100% admit rate. Among some of the most selective schools in the country, Hawken students are admitted two to three times more frequently than the overall applicant pool; 24% of Hawken students` Ivy League applications resulted in acceptances - more than twice the national average. While most highly selective schools like Chicago, Columbia, Cornell, Duke, Emory, Georgetown, Harvard, Northwestern, Penn, Pomona, Stanford, The U.S. Naval Academy, Vanderbilt, and Williams , among others, appear on this year`s matriculation list - and some of those in multiple numbers - we know that names alone don`t tell the whole story. Our focus on college match, the greatest indicator of a student`s success in college remains a top priority - and our alumni continue to report that they feel better prepared for success in college and careers than their peers at college, no matter where they matriculate.
