Blood Drive Draws Record Turnout On Tuesday, March 16, Hawken`s annual Red Cross Blood Drive drew such a crowd of willing donors that some had to be turned away. Of the 82 donors, 48 were first-timers, and the 58 viable pints collected will touch the lives of 174 people. Parents, students, and faculty not only donated blood but generously volunteered their time to ensure a successful event. Director of College Counseling Andrea Hays along with senior Andrew Johnson served as co-directors and were assisted by Susan Jambor, Maddy Pesec `12 and Coach Mike Sala. Faculty member Russ Maurer was on hand most of the day to support the cause, and parents Lynne Jaskulek, Leisa Speroff, Karen Kasper, Jennifer Moeller, Cathy Zeilinger, Bonnie Crisalli, and Mary Ann Richman also volunteered to help things run smoothly.
