Hawken Students Featured at WRHS Exhibit

Dani Berns `12, Julie Zeilinger `11, Josh Berns `10, Aaron Kohn `09, and Jenny Feuer `07 are featured \"Upstanders\" in the current exhibit at the Western Reserve Historical Society entitled \"Choosing to Participate: Facing History and Ourselves.\" In addition, art work by Conrad Young `15, Erica Fearon `14, and Sarah Doody `13 will be featured at the exhibit. Hawken 7th graders visited the exhibit on October 23 in conjunction with their research at WRHS to uncover details behind some of the Cultural Garden`s early history and orignial statuary. Choosing to Participate serves as a catalyst for conversation about the importance of participation in our community, nation, and world. Facing History and Ourselves received more than 150 nominations and a committee comprised of students, educators, and community members selected 25 group or individual Upstanders to be featured in the Choosing to Participate exhibit.
