Hawken Alum Takes a Stand in Today`s <i>New York Times</i>

An article titled "Can the U.S. Lead Afghans?" by Mark Moyar `89 was published in the Op Ed section of today`s edition of The New York Times. After graduating from Hawken, Mark attended Harvard, where he graduated summa cum laude before going on to Cambridge University, where he earned his PhD in history. In addition to having published numerous articles in the Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, New York Times, and National Review, and other publications, he is the author of Triumph Forsaken: The Vietnam War, 1954-1965 and Phoenix and the Birds of Prey: Counterinsurgency and Counter-terrorism in Vietnam.
