Hawken Welcomes Summer at Parade the Circle
On Saturday, June 13, members of the Hawken community gathered under clear blue skies at the Cleveland Museum of Art to celebrate the start of summer. This year`s Parade the Circle with its theme of "Chiaroscuro Beguiling the Penumbra" drew a crowd of more than 70,000 people. Hawken, one of the largest groups in the parade, entertained the greater Cleveland community in celebration of the arts with costumes, a giant float, and enormous puppets that reflected our school`s theme for this year`s parade, "Escher, Picasso and Bosch, Oh my!"
