Cleveland Playhouse Sets Stage for Senior Project

lvl
Hawken senior Brian Zeilinger`s fortuitous introduction to playwright M. Kilburg Reedy marked the beginnings of a senior project that is scheduled to come to life next week at The Cleveland Playhouse Studio One Theatre for the world premiere of the musical "SPIN: A Musical Myth." According to an article by Ellen Schur Brown of the Cleveland Jewish News, \"SPIN\" playwright Reedy "was looking for a showcase for her new work, and Brian was looking to produce a play with a large cast." Reedy not only donated the rights to Brian and his co-producer Galya Loeb of Beachwood High School, she has made adjustments to the cast, lyrics and script to accommodate the youth production. Brian, who hopes to pursue a career in stage-management, serves not only as co-producer but as director and set designer for the musical. Show times are set for Wednesday, May 27 at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, May 31 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. For tickets, call 1-800-651-SPIN or visit info@spincleveland.com.
