Upper School Presents Rent: School Edition
Hawken School`s winter musical, Rent: School Edition, is scheduled for February 13, 14, 20, 21. Performances will be held in the Kennedy Auditorium at the Gates Mill campus at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 general admission, $12 for patrons and reserved seating. To reserve tickets, please call 440-423-4446, ext. 430. Please note: due to the subject matter, the production is not recommended for students younger than middle school age. Jonathan Larson`s Pulitzer Prize-winning revolutionary rock opera tells the story of a group of bohemians struggling to express themselves through their art and "measuring their lives in love." Against the gritty backdrop of New York`s East Village, these friends strive for success and acceptance while enduring the obstacles of poverty, illness and the AIDS epidemic. The principle roles in Hawken`s production are played by Evan Schreiber, Myles Simmons, Terra Writz , Brian Huser, Alexis Floyd, Ben Sala, Ryan Smith, and Adrienne Krol; they are joined by over 50 additional cast and crew members.
