Two Headed to Track Finals, Two Make Showing at Tennis Finals
Seniors Davis Filippell and Louise Gliga are headed to the Jesse Owens Stadium at Ohio State University this Saturday to compete in the state finals for track. Both qualified in the 3200 run: Davis with a Hawken record and regional-winning time of 9:29:91, Louise with a regional fourth place time of 11:39:46. And sophomores Charlie Marks and David Gerson scored a visit to the state tennis finals recently, the first appearance of a Hawken tennis team to the championships in several years. The two waged an intense, hard-fought match, but fell to the eventual winner of finals.
