Eighth Grader Wins Coveted Spot in Art Show
Eighth grader Robert Fearon`s self-portrait was recently selected to be shown in the Cuyahoga County Scholastic Art Show. Robert`s piece was chosen from hundreds of high school and middle school entries from the entire Cuyahoga County area (both public and private schools). According to art teacher Erin Thomas, who submitted the piece, such recognition for a middle schooler is rare and a special honor. The opening ceremony will take place on Sunday, January 13, 2008 at 1:00pm in Aitken Auditorium located in CIA`s Gund Building (at the corner of East Blvd. and Bellflower). A public reception will be held on the same day from 2:00-4:00pm in Reinberger Galleries. The Scholastic Art Exhibition will be open to the public through Saturday, February 2. Gallery hours are: Tuesdays-Saturdays, 10:00am-6:00pm Sundays 12:00noon-6:00pm
