Eight Upper School students were recently awarded nearly $5,000 dollars for their continued efforts to educate Northeastern Ohio about the state of Lake Erie`s water quality. Sophomores Jon Borden, Zack Lawrence, Aaron Nusrala, Greg Pasiadis, Charlie Primbas, Brian Vogt, John Wilson and senior Angela Primbas, collectively known as the Lake Kleenerz, received a mini-grant from the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency`s Office of Environmental Education, which awarded $50,000 to 12 organizations statewide. The Lake Kleenerz will use the money for the purchase a computer and the creation of educational CDs, displays and presentations to help in developing an educational nature center at the Cleveland Lakefront State Park. This is the second grant that the group has received in the past two and a half years. Click here to read more about the Lake Kleenerz.
