Hawken third grade math teacher is `outstanding`

Each year, the Greater Cleveland Council of Teachers of Mathematics recognizes outstanding teachers who have demonstrated extraordinary dedication to the teaching and learning of mathematics. Chris Brez, one of Hawken`s third grade teachers, has been honored as an outstanding mathematics teacher in the Northeast District of Greater Cleveland. Chris has a passion for mathematics and has been instrumental in guiding her students and colleagues to a stronger conceptual understanding of this curricular area. In addition to her third grade teaching responsibilities, Chris has served as a math coordinator in the Lower School this year. We congratulate Chris and thank her for taking a leadership role in the study of mathematics at Hawken School.
