Sixth-grade Electromagnetic Fishing Derby opens!
Sixth grade students in Mr. Kachurek`s science class participated in the long-awaited Electromagnetic Fishing Derby! In conjunction with their current study of electricity and magnetics, students (working in teams of two) had the task of constructing an electromagnetic fishing pole that employed many of the principles recently studied in class. Once constructed, each team of students had to \"fish\" for paper clips for one minute. The team that \"caught\" the most paper clips was then declared the Electromagnetic Fishing Derby Champions for the 2006-2007 Season!!!
