Liz McBean: Player of the week
Senior field hockey player Liz McBean was selected as a Plain Dealer Player of the Week and was featured in the paper`s Locker Room high school sports section. The PD noted that \"the seven-county all-star excelled from center/midfield, coming up with two assists in a 2-0 tournament victory over Cleveland Heights and scoring the winning goal in overtime in a 2-1 tournament triumph over Laurel.\" McBean, also an Academic All-American, joins ranks with several Hawken athletes who have been featured recently for their prowess on the playing field.
