Track and Field Teams win CVC Titles

The Hawken Men`s Track team won the 2006 CVC Metro Division Championship. The team ran away with their second straight CVC Championship bu a score of 183 to 139. The team was lead with first place finished by the 4x800m, 4x200m, 4x100m and 4x400m relays. Individual CVC Champions are: Stepeh Johnson-Shot Put, Zach Hylton-High Jump, Hayden Haas-100m & 400m, Davis Filippell-3200m. Second place finishers were - Tyler Nichols-Long Jump and 110m Hurdles, Davis Filippell-1600m, Tyler Kirsch-400m. Members of the champion relays team are: Oge Anoliefo (4x800. 4x200, 4x100, 4x400), Stewart Roulston(4x100, 4x200, 4x400), Tyler Kirsh (4x100, 4x200, 4x400), Hayden Haas (4x400), David Williams (4x100, 4x200), Abel Mills (4x800), Seth Johnson(4x800) & Davis Filippell(4x800) The Lady Hawks follwed up their first place finish at the Cuyahoga Relays with a 2nd place finish at the CVC Metro Division Championship. The Womens Team fell just short of Beachwwod 183.5 to 176. CVC Championships were earned by the 4x100m, 4x200m and 4x400m relays. Individual CVC Champions were earned by Colleen Barnes - High Jump, Allie Sandacz-Long Jump, Louise Gliga-1600m, Jessica Langholt-400m, Vicki Wilson-300H, Peggy Seabright-3200m. Second Place finishers were - 4x800m relay, Kene Anoliefo-High Jump & Long Jump, Allie Sandacz-100m, Maddy Strohl-3200m. Members of the relay Teams were - Kene Anoliefo (4x100, 4x400), Sarah Dorenkott (4x800, 4x400), Vicki Wilson (4x200, 4x400), Jessica Langholt (4x200, 4x400, 4x800), Jen Aronoff (4x100, 4x200), Meaghan Johnson (4x100, 4x200), Allie Sandacz (4x100), Louise Gliga (4x800), Peggy Seabright (4x800). Congratulations to Hayden Haas for being named News Herald - Player of the Week. Next week the Mens & Womens Track Teams will will be competing in the Division III District Meet at Independence High School.
