Cleveland Live 8 Benefit Concert: A Student Creation!

On April 21st, 2006, Hawken Middle School will be holding a benefit concert completely powered, planned, and run by Hawken School 8th grade students. In conjunction with the Cleveland Council of Independent Schools, Hawken Middle School will be hosting the Live 8 Benefit Concert from 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Hawken will provide transportation to and from the event. Students will be bussed from the Lyndhurst campus to the Rock Hall after school and back to Lyndhurst after the social. Parents may pick up their children at Lyndhurst at 8:30 pm. An admission price of $5.00 will allow all 7th & 8th grade students from the Cleveland Council of Independent Schools to see and listen to Will Bowen (Will Bowen) and The Setups (The Setups). All proceeds will go to Free The Children (Free The Chidlren). Pizza and soda will also be available for purchase at the event. A goal of raising $5,000 has been set in an attempt to address the unjust practices that children in Africa face on a daily basis.
