Sixth Grade Knowledge Master Team Places 1st In Ohio

Hawken`s 6th grade Knowledge Master Team has done it again!! This competition takes place twice a year, and both times in the 2006-2007 school year, a Hawken Team has won the State of Ohio. In an event where the mean score was 645 points with an average accuracy of 87%, Team Prodigious scored 759 points with an astounding 95% correct. They were number one of the 23 teams in Ohio, number three nationally among the 49 schools of our size, and 41st in the world of the 404 teams that competed. We would like to congratulate Russell Cohen, Sarah Foster, Alex Kaufman, Joey Marabito, Cache McClay, Gabe Napoli, and Sawyer Opalich on this exciting accomplishment! The school has received a certificate for the state win - our fourth this year of the four events in which we have competed since both the Middle School and the Upper School won the fall event in their age groups.
