Kene Anoliefo `06

Laura Lewis
Kene Anoliefo `06 is a Hawk on the go. Whether she is running circles around other track competitors, chairing the Bloodmobile, serving on student council, or traveling to London with the Hawken Chorale, this senior is recognized for her energy, smile, cooperative spirit, and personal motto: \"I always want to strive to be better than I was the day before.\" Kene describes being a senior as a highlight of her Hawken experience. \"You get so much here in terms of activities and academics,\" she says. \"Being a senior has allowed me to look back and see how it all fits into place. It`s nice to be looked to for leadership and advice, but what has been important to me is realizing that I`m now capable of providing those things.\" Kene`s parents immigrated to the U.S. from Nigeria, and she credits them for providing her an example of a strong work ethic. Right now she is waiting to hear on applications to Duke and Yale, and plans to pursue pre-med studies. She cracks up trying to imagine herself in 10 years, but laughs, \"I know I will be happy as long as I am doing something I am passionate about.\"
