Track Athletes Named All-Stars
The News Herald announced their 2007 Track and Field Division III All-Star Team, and the Hawks were well represented. First team selections were; Stephen Johnson `07 Shot Put & Discus, Tyler Nichols `09 Long Jump & 110m Hurdles, Boys 4x100m Relay-Jake McKay `09, Tyler Nichols, Jake Willen `10, Oge Anoliefo `08, Louise Gliga `08 3200m, and Vicki Wilson `08 300m Hurdles. Second Team recognitions were awarded to; Louise Gliga 1600m, Girls 4x400m Relay-Vicki Wilson, Edith Anderson `10, Peggy Seabright `07, Melissa Petersilge `08, Girls 4x800m Relay-Melissa Petersilge, Edith Anderson, Ellen Withrow `08, Louise Gliga, Davis Filippell `08 3200m, Jake McKay 100m. Honorable Mention were noted for Abel Mills `07, Terrence Embry `09, Noah Whitehead `09, Yoni Binstock `07, Colleen Barnes `07, Alena Jaffe `08 and Amanda Weeks `08. The following Hawken Alumni were noted for holding New Herald Area Track & Field Records; O. J. McDuffie(1988)-Long Jump 23`2.5\" and Ifey Anoliefo(2000)-Long Jump 19`2\".
