Eighth Graders Help Monitor Health of Chagrin River

patti carlyle
On September 28th and 29th, Hawken`s eighth graders took their annual field trip to the Chagrin River. This inter-disciplinary project combines Math and Science classes in analyzing the relative health of the Chagrin River. Students take their findings and process them to rate the health of this section of the river. Once the results are determined, they are sent off to the Chagrin River Conservancy, which then publishes the findings in their reports.
