Groundworks Dance Company Visits Upper School
On Monday November 9th, Bill Stark class of 2003 and Steve Hall class of 2000 presented a workshop on Capoeira, a dance/ martial arts movement originating from Brazil. Handmade instruments were played as the dance classes learned a few Capoeira steps.

For the past few weeks, the Performance arts department has engaged the dance company, GroundWorks, to mentor and guide Hawken students as they create original music and dance movements in response to a visual elements.
Students will perform these new works at an assembly on Friday November 20th
