Benefit Screening for Magnolia Clubhouse
In another effort to support the greater community, Hawken is partnering with Magnolia Clubouse, a community-based center in University Circle that supports people affected by mental illness, to support a benefit screening of The Soloist, starring Jamie Fox and Robert Downey Jr. The film documents the life of a gifted musician who becomes mentally ill and homeless. The showing will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28 at Cedar Lee Theatre. There will be a brief introduction to the film, and after the film members of Jack Breisch's Homelessness class will lead a discussion at Phoenix Coffee for anyone interested in joining. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at clevelandcinemas.com.
