Awards Day 2008

Alex Dobay '08 recieved this year's Charles B. Bolton Award at a recent Upper School Awards Day that was raw with emotion as graduating seniors capped off their careers at Hawken. Upper School students relished the fruits of their hard work and commitment and as departing faculty and staff members reflected on their years as teachers, coaches, mentors and friends.

Dobay received Hawken's most prestigious award for exemplifying courage, integrity, leadership, inspiration, spirit and dedication — values that Hawken holds preeminent.

"Ever since I was a freshman...I always humbly dreamed I would do something good enough to be worthy of one of these alumni awards," he said.

"I don't think I've ever been more proud than I am today."
