Debate Team's Winning Words
The Hawken Speech and Debate team recently faced most of the top speech
and debate teams in the state in a two-day tournament in Sylvania, Ohio.
Congratulations go to:
Senior Sam Skove, who was a semi-finalist in Oratorical Interpretation.
Junior Alex Ferris, an octafinalist in Lincoln Douglas Debate.
Special congratulations go to:
Juniors Drew Macklis and Dylan Herts, who were semi-finalists in Policy Debate, placed in the top four at the tournament and qualified for the State tournament in March.
Junior Rajiv Mainthia and sophomore Ozan Cubukcu, who were finalists in Public Forum Debate and placed second at the tournament.
Overrall, Hawken placed fourth in Debate Sweepstakes.
